Why this pulls from several charts into one profile

Nozzle temp, bed temp, cooling, layer height, infill, and speed all interact — a fan setting that's right for PLA is wrong for ABS, and a layer height that works at one speed needs a different flow rate at another. This generator applies the same reference data as the individual charts on this site, but resolves it into one coherent starting profile instead of leaving you to reconcile five separate numbers yourself.

Every printer, every brand of filament, and every specific spool has some variation from these reference numbers — use this as the profile you start tuning from on a new material or new printer, then adjust based on how your own first few prints actually come out.

Enclosures matter more than people expect

ABS, ASA, PC, and to a lesser extent nylon all benefit significantly from an enclosure, which keeps ambient temperature steady around the print and prevents the warping and layer separation that rapid cooling causes in these materials. Printing them in an open frame printer in a cold room is possible but meaningfully riskier than the same print in an enclosure.
